A brief history of balloon printing
in Bulgaria
Company ET "Compass - Tihomir Tanchev" was established in 1993 with the scope of activity - balloon printing, balloon decorations, production and sale of balloon accessories. The company works with high-quality balloons with the brand "BELBAL" - Belgium.
The products we produce are aimed at both wholesale and retail customers.
In 1993, with a manual machine we made, we printed the first balloon for Bulgaria!
In 1995, we made the first machine for semi-automatic balloon printing. We increased the printing capacity from 500 balloons per day to 2500 balloons per day with three printers.
In 1997, we again created our first automated balloon printing machine ourselves. We printed ONE and TWO colors on it with a capacity of 1500 balloons per hour with manual loading.
In 2005, we produced a new device with a capacity of 2500 balloons per hour. Its capabilities were FIVE-SIDED printing and SINGLE-SIDED - FOUR-COLOR PRINTING!
The people with whom we then printed 4000 balloons per hour with two automated machines with manual loading (a difficult and laborious loading method) changed every half hour per machine and there were 12 printers.
In 2010, we created another device that had a capacity of 1500 balloons per hour with a TWO-SIDED SINGLE-COLOR image.
All of these machines were automatic, but ... with manual loading.
With the help of innovative technology, we also attracted new European partners. Orders from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Poland and Scandinavia testify to the trust we have gained!
Thanks to the new technological capabilities:
- fully robotic printing systems;
- automated tracking of the entire process - from the balloon being loaded into the robot to its being unloaded from the machine;
- automatic stopping of the production cycle when a difference from the initially set printing parameters is detected;
- signaling to the operator to eliminate the problem,
After 32 years with the now fully robotic printing systems, we achieve a capacity of 55,000 to 60,000 balloons per day.
